Graham and I have started a tradition of hosting Mother's Day brunch. It
is the one holiday that we can (lovingly) usurp from our mothers and
they just can't do anything about it. This year we decided to try
something a little different: made-to-order omelettes. We presented
everyone with a printed list of ingredients and let them build their
own.

This made it easy to cater to any dietary restrictions or
preferences, and served as a fun activity during mimosa hour!

The menus
displayed ingredients ranging from fresh basil to crumbled vegetarian
sausage and banana peppers (another crowd-pleaser) and were a huge hit
with the whole family. Tip: omelette-making moves quickly so it's best
to have all ingredients pre-diced and have a sous chef (me) handy to
help.
